This blueprint is a living document authored by innovators, investors, scientists, policymakers, and entrepreneurs. It represents a “big tent” exploration of where cleantech is today, what barriers remain, and where we can go in the next five years—if we choose collaboration over competition, curiosity over cynicism, and courage over inertia.

CleanTech Blueprint for the Future

The Blueprint defines a vision for the future through which technology innovation can improve the lives of people, their communities, and the planet. The structure of the Blueprint is intended to be as inclusive as possible in which different chapters focus on different topic areas, written by different authors with individual perspectives.

Participating in the Coalition for Innovation has been a rare opportunity to collaborate with leaders across clean energy, mobility, and technology who share a commitment to accelerating the energy transition. The process enabled me to validate strategies with cross-sector peers, gain valuable insights into policy, financing, and adoption challenges, and identify partnership opportunities to bring battery swap infrastructure to global markets faster. It reinforced my belief that solving the “messy middle” of clean technology adoption requires collaboration that bridges engineering, economics, and policy.

Throughout my career, I’ve seen how transformative ideas can stall in the lab without the right guidance and resources; this coalition gives me a platform to accelerate those ideas into the market where they can change lives at scale. I thrive on the energy and ingenuity of startups, and LG NOVA’s ecosystem brings together visionary founders, seasoned mentors, and strategic capital to turn bold technology into tangible solutions. By contributing my experience in venture philanthropy and deep-tech commercialization, I hope to help innovators navigate the messy middle and deliver world-changing products faster than ever.

I was excited to learn about the Coalition for Innovation project. I’ve long been a fan of LG NOVA and its mission to encourage technological innovation across many fields, including health tech. I jumped in even though the scope and details of the project had not yet been defined completely, and got to play a part in shaping the direction of the final product. This program has brought me into contact with many smart and dedicated people who share my vision of technological innovation as a way to solve some of the more intractable challenges, especially in healthcare.
